Shirlene is a Chartered Accountant with 20+ years work experience in a variety of roles and sectors, with a focus on project management governance, internal audit and controls, risk and compliance, business process improvement and business analysis across Banking, Mining, Construction and Petrochemical industries.
Having worked in various countries, cultures, and companies, in the USA, the UK and South Africa (SA), Shirlene is adaptable and able to add value by drawing on her technical competencies and soft skills, as well as her passion for developing teams and making a difference
Shirlene has managed a large Capital and IT Project internal audit team at Sasol, which included interaction at all levels and provided her with a wide range of operational, tactical and strategic skills as well as leadership experience through a number of organisational changes. Since then, as a consulting professional, Shirlene has consulted mainly in the Banking sector and has a strong focus on corporate governance
Her current role is as Head of Internal Audit at The Shard.
